Cal Fire Butte county announced the completion of a more than 100-acre controlled burn in Oroville on Monday, June 15. The project, known as the Camelot Prescribed Fire, took place in the Camelot Equestrian Park at 1985 Clark Road, in Oroville Calif. Cal Fire partnered with the Mechoopda Tribe on the burn, with tribal fuel crews and the tribe's land manager working alongside Cal Fire personnel. Crews reported treating about 102 acres, short of the project's anticipated 125 acres.
