Jordan Newton Moore, a 28-year-old caregiver, was arraigned this week on charges related to the death of Thomas Anthony Cuneo, 87. Prosecutors say Moore was Cuneo's live-in caregiver at the time of the killing. Deputies found Cuneo dead inside his home in Shingletown and discovered evidence suggesting he had been killed. An autopsy revealed Cuneo suffered numerous stab wounds, leading to a homicide ruling. Moore was extradited from California after being found in Marina, Calif., and is currently being held in the Shasta County Jail without bail.
