Congressman James Gallagher announced that several Northstate water and infrastructure projects were included in the Water Resources Development Act. The bill includes funding and policy changes meant to improve water systems, flood control, wildfire planning, and drought response in rural Northstate communities. The $155 million allocated for water upgrades across the Sacramento River Basin aims to enhance water quality, environmental restoration, and long-term water reliability.

Other projects included are a dam safety review at Black Butte Dam, sewer mains replacement in Robbins, and flood control work in Chico's Five-Mile Basin.
