A Shasta County jury found Robert Parker Milton guilty of first-degree murder in the death of William Dressler on August 29, 2024. The jury also found Milton guilty of three counts of resisting an executive officer. Prosecutors said jurors found all related enhancements true, including that the crime involved great violence and a high degree of cruelty. A separate sanity phase of the trial found Milton to be sane when he committed the crimes.
