A multiday compliance operation was conducted by the Redding Police Department (RPD) focusing on people required to register as sex offenders. The effort was funded through the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) Program. Officers conducted compliance checks on 30 registered sex offenders living within Redding city limits. Two individuals, Andre Joseph Reyna and Ronald Anthony Casparino, were arrested for violations related to sex offender registration requirements.
Eight cases involving suspected registration violations were submitted to the Shasta County District Attorney's Office for review and possible prosecution.
