The Shasta County Board of Supervisors approved a new five-year strategic plan last month, which addresses public concerns over safety, healthcare, and infrastructure. The plan identifies five focus areas: public safety, healthcare, wildfire prevention, development, and community engagement. However, many projects remain dependent on grants, private funding, and other revenue sources that have not yet been secured.
